Sad news. Sweetheart the cat died of cancer in February 2006. Sweetie was an eighteen and a half year old female American Shorthair whom my wife rescued from the Boulder Humane Society in 1987. She was an incredibly cuddly and playful cat who liked to talk to us, follow us around, and play fetch like a dog. She was also an experimental physicist, testing for local gravity anomalies by pushing small objects off of tables and dressers. She got along well with the canine member of our family, Tess.
