Sport Educators, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt organization founded in Colorado in 1994 by Marc Altman and Dr. John Hoover. Its primary mission is to increase youth leadership and positive role modeling in children's recreational sports.

Sport Educators provides a positive solution to meeting the needs of today's youth by affording them opportunities to be leaders and positive role models in childrens' recreational sports programs in basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, and football. Sport Educators is head-quartered in Boulder, Colorado and is guided by a volunteer Board comprised of local business people, parents and educators.

Sport Educators also offers an Adult Coaches Program for adults who coach childrens' recreational sports teams. Ways to effectively use youth assistant coaches trained through this Institute are discussed in the Adult Coaches Program.
