 The summer session was greeted by these people at the mairies residence complete with kir and something we called "airballs" (dough "things" with nothing inside but air.) The man on the far left is the mayor, don't remember the next 2, lady in hat was the university president I believe, and that's Sebastian next to her. Director of just about everything. He helped me arrange my week-end excursions and even let me speak english sometimes when I fumbled (I'm sure I exasperated the poor man, but I must have been good for a chuckle on occasion as well!) And I don't know who that blond lady is |
 This was my professor for 4 weeks, Prof Philippe Briot. He was patient, charming and a lot of fun. |

 Last day of class and this is who is left. Can you pick out the 3 americans? At the start of the session we had several german women and a brazilian woman, but they moved on or left. And I see Carlos (Mexico) is not in the photo although he was there that day. In addition to the americans there were 2 from Monterey, Mexico, 1 from Korea and the rest of the gang was from Hong Kong. |

 I found Carlos in this photo, along with Trish's back. Philippe had a lot of fun with Trish because the french word for 'cheater' is 'tricheur'. So anytime he caught her taking a peek at her dictionary he just changed the pronounciation of her name to tricher... oh well, maybe you had to be there. |
 Annegrit (Germany) and Iara (Brazil) and the whole school behind them at the all school show before it got started in the town auditorium. Sandwich vending carts and cokes beat the cafeteria food hands down, any day! |
